The Almost Post-Pandemic Work/Life Balance Paradox
with Matt Connor, CPSM, Coach Connor Consulting
Before 2020 surveys showed that over 77% of the US workforce had experienced burn out. One of the top reasons listed for this was a lack of work/life balance. Today… Who the hell knows what that percentage is! In this entertaining and interactive session, we will discuss everyone’s personal search for the “Holy Grail…” The magical and ever elusive Work/Life Balance. What is it exactly? Does it even exist? Who has it? How did they get it? How do I get it? The answers to these questions seem to evade us no matter where we look. Maybe we are asking the wrong questions. This talk will provide some insight into our “lack of balance.” Challenging the usual reasons and excuses why it’s missing and applying some new thinking and ideas to swing the scales back in our favor!

The Platinum Rule: How Should We REALLY Use It?
with Angie Weidel, Blended Strategies LLC
As children, we are taught about using the "Golden Rule" when it comes to communication and social behavior. However, in Sales, Marketing and Business Development, we have to take it up a notch by communicating in ways that others need us to communicate. Discover the difference that's made when we: 1-understand DISC profiles of communication (our own and theirs) 2-understand how our own identity and roles get blurred 3-recognize how often we compare ourselves to others. These behaviors are KEY in maximizing relationships in the field. Is your message getting across? Have you felt like your clients/prospects were not hearing you? Are you concerned about implementing certain KPI's because fear and trepidation are the norm (like in Cold Calling)? Overcome these obstacles and more by using The Platinum Rule and establish greater bond and rapport with clients, prospects, and even coworkers!
